Tig is a storyteller, deep thinker and even deeper feeler.
She has a remarkable ability to distill big emotions into dreamy folk-pop time capsules. Her intensely personal songs are steeped in hidden meaning and feel like treasured little wisdoms shared with a beloved older sister.
Influenced by the likes of Angie McMahon, Sharon Van Etten and Tommy Lefroy, Tig blends intimate lyricism with lush, layered piano and synths. Her songwriting favours striking dynamic arcs, cryptic confessions and cinematic storylines that conjure vivid imagery.
Her first body of work, Inside Voices (2024), co-produced with Jono Steer, drew fast attention from media, peers and a growing cohort of dedicated fans. Labelled ‘unbelievable’ by Forte Mag, Tig’s debut EP sold out hometown headline shows, a secret 7-inch vinyl run and landed her support slots with Pierce Brothers, Kim Churchill and Ainslie Wills on major stages. Warmly welcomed by local industry, the EP was featured by AIR, Pilerats, Beat, Triple R, PBS, and a host of community radio stations across the country.
Inspired by her own dismantling and rebuilding over formative life chapters, Tig writes songs that unravel the beautiful messiness of growing up human. Channelling the momentum of her debut, she partnered with acclaimed ARIA-nominated producer Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy) to push her sonic world to new heights. The intuitive collection of songs captured over a week-long studio lock-in, is nostalgic, shimmering and lovingly vulnerable.
The strength of Tig’s unreleased work was recognised in 2026 when she was awarded the Vanda & Young Top 10 Global Emerging Songwriter prize - a coveted honour shared by some of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary artists. Tig is a writer on the rise with a huge year of releases ahead.
